Alex – NetSpotKeymasterWe’d love to help, but… have a look https://www.netspotapp.com/help/talk/topic/using-external-wireless-devices/#post-3014

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterHi, the symptoms you mentioned do not sound very promising, nor familiar. However, please, try this beta version, and then we’ll take it from there: https://www.netspotapp.com/help/talk/topic/bogus-internet-connection-message/#post-3766
Any crashes after the “beach ball”? Any crash reports in Console.app?
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterThey actually are, here: https://www.netspotapp.com/help/zone-environment-type/
Apologies for such a delayed follow-up. I was pretty sure this thread has already been replied to.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterAs you have probably noticed it yourself, there’s the Filter bar in the lower part of the Discover screen. That should work.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterYes, it will map out other wireless modes, but not the AC spectrum, unfortunately.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterNothing yet, unfortunately. We experimented with a few additional features to address this need, and still don’t have anything production-ready.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterWe are shooting for 2017 to release a version with new predictive planning mode. We realize the importance, and are trying to streamline our development force in a proper direction.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterHi there, have you saved your project at least once during the survey, or at least enabled auto-saving? Unfortunately, we are not receiving crash reports from the App Store version of NetSpot, so we might need your help in troubleshooting this.
January 2, 2017 at 5:06 pm in reply to: Missing Netspot in Add/Remove to uninstall in Windows 10 #3767
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterCan you try to reinstall NetSpot for Windows again and then see if it corrects the issue for you? According to our tests, and me personally using NetSpot on Windows 10, I can easily uninstall from Control Panel and the app is present in the list.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterUnfortunately, I have to confirm this issue, and it is going to be fixed in the next update. Meanwhile, here’s the link to the beta version: https://netspotapp.com/buildz/2.5/2.5.738/NetSpot.dmg
Michael, I’ll be checking your support thread shortly to see why it hasn’t been answered so far.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterI’m not quite sure what the problem is here. The scanning cannot be stopped to generate a heatmap until the initial 3 samples are taken. If you need to start a new project, you can do so at any time. Basic zone details cannot be edited currently. Instead, you can just create a new zone with adjusted settings at any moment. Hope this helps.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterHi Michael, I can assure you that everyone’s home and working hard on NetSpot. Our major support line is email, and that is also on time with a usual turnaround of 24 hours or less. Thank you for checking in. I agree we were a bit slow on updates last year, and I can assure you it’s changing to the better. The new version 2.5 (Mac) is just a few days from the release. We are planning version 2.6 right after, the new UI, planning mode, iOS and Android versions in the works as well. Stay tuned.
PS: we might be prioritizing support for Enterprise clients over others, but believe me, all requests are handled equally important for the free and paid clients.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterSeems like this has been handled via email. Please don’t hesitate to contact us back in case something else pops up.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterHi again, the issue with the manifest was given another round of testing, and unfortunately, we still cannot confirm anything similar. Our only guess would be intermediary proxy servers that might adjust the transferred HTTP headers and cause the confusion with the hash sums.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterLuis, we are testing this in all possible situations. Doesn’t seem that anyone is capable to tell Mac OS X to connect to a specific AP/BSSID (even AirRadar). And the option you took a screenshot of is called “Join Network”, not AP. What are we missing here?
