Alex – NetSpotKeymasterWe might also consider putting the default speed test scripts at some CDN to improve overall experience. Stay tuned.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterThe specific AP to connect to is decided by your Mac OS X, not by NetSpot or AirRadar, but we’ll give it another shot and update this thread.

Alex – NetSpotKeymaster> This is on 10.11.4. (I’m avoiding 10.11.5 because there’s a report that NetSpot doesn’t work with it, and support hasn’t yet responded to that thread.)
Go for it. Never heard of a similar case.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterScan Interval means the interval of scanning your wireless range and assessing all WiFi networks’ parameters. It’s not an average or anything. It’s just the interval in seconds between taking new samples in Discover mode.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterDear Rob,
Can you, please, send the internal logs from NetSpot to us, to see what exactly is going on there? You can use the “Ask a Question” button from within NetSpot to do this automatically. Please reference this topic in comments of your message. Thanks
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterVirusTotal is wrong. False positive. It actually reports most of the existing software in the world as somewhat malicious. It’s hard to find a completely clean app these days.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterIt also seems that similar dips happen on specific network adapters, and don’t actually affect the quality of connection.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterIs there any other software accessing your Wi-Fi adapter at the same time with NetSpot?
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterAll we can say for now is that predictive surveys will be available as a major update.

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterHi Garrett, we will refund your order if we can’t fix the issue. Please bear with us and follow all the instructions sent from our support team. I’m so sorry it’s taking so long. We are doing our best. Meanwhile, to the subject, I wish we could reproduce the problem in our test lab. We truly can’t, multiple Macs. In 10.11 this was truly improved. But let me get another round of feedback from the developers on this. I’ll keep this topic updated.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterCan you, please, send a feedback report from NetSpot (using “Ask a Question” option on the toolbar) after the crash? Thanks
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterThanks for posting all these details. We won’t be able to resolve this on the phone any way, as we are involving our developers into this thread. Hold on. Let me get some updates for you.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterThe solution will be something like this: place your APs according to their ideal locations around the house first, run the survey, check the results, locate the dead zones. Relocate the APs to try and cover the dead zones. Run another survey as a separate snapshot. Compare the heatmaps. Does this help?

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterUpdate: solid red seems to be good if you are using default visualization settings. For the incorrect values, can you please send us a bit more details with the screenshots? We tested this once again and cannot reproduce the bug. Thanks. Email to onair@netspotapp.com with reference to this topic.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterTo everyone having this issue. Thanks a lot for your patience. Can you please try this installer and report back: https://cdn.netspotapp.com/download/Win/NetSpot.exe ?
Your help is much appreciated. -
