kippageParticipantWhen attempting an active scan the following message appears:
No Internet Connection:(network_name)
NetSpot detected valid Wi-Fi connection but cannot proceed with active scanning due to issues accessing internet.Blah-blah…Obviously bogus because I am using the network named by the message to do everything else including sending this request for support! So there is some other glitch happening! Anyone have a clue how to fix this? Mac OS X 10.11.6 on a 15″ MacBook Pro, Early 2008

bappeltParticipantI’m having exactly the same issue on a Mid 2015 Macbook Pro also running 10.11.6. Happens at two different locations, so it is not network specific.

mtaylorParticipantI too am experiencing this issue running Mac OSX 10.8.5, MacBook Air (802.11 ac) and the latest Pro version of NetSpot.
I sent an email to tech support about this issue and have not heard anything in return – disappointing.I ran a few tests in my environment to ascertain if this issue is firewall related, and if so, why it was not functioning – I did not discover anything that was glaringly obvious. My though is that this has something to do with the NetSpot servers, maybe they have very limited resources dedicated to this feature?
Regardless of what is going on, I have NEVER been able to use the feature via HTTP with their servers, on any network. I can only use iperf servers and even that process is somewhat wonky.
For instance, I can only perform iperf testing on one AP at a time, regardless of what I check within the setup of the project. If I select Active scanning on “these” networks and check more than one, NetSpot still only iperfs one network and I am left with results that show 0.00 for all networks other than the first network tested.
The details box shows all of the networks that were selected, but only the first network has actual results even though all credentials are passed to NetSpot and the iperf server is successfully reached. The iperf settings are addressed within the “help” page, but there is plenty of information that is either missing or misrepresented.
No matter what my iperf settings reflect, NetSpot never tests UDP and TCP in the same survey, I am always presented with the TCP results but when the UDP results are selected from the dropdown, they are always 0.00 even though the server tests UDP and TCP both.

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterUnfortunately, I have to confirm this issue, and it is going to be fixed in the next update. Meanwhile, here’s the link to the beta version: https://netspotapp.com/buildz/2.5/2.5.738/NetSpot.dmg
Michael, I’ll be checking your support thread shortly to see why it hasn’t been answered so far. -
