Alex – NetSpotKeymasterStill can’t reproduce this. Hold on. We’re looking for the alternative ways to troubleshoot the issue.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterIs Active Scanning definitely enabled in this project that you are running? Did you get the first speed tests for the first “couple rooms”?
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterAll I can say now – may be. We are doing our best updating both manuals now: for NetSpot Mac and Windows as well.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterIt is very useful, no doubts. But this is not a priority now, unfortunately. We’ll keep everyone posted.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterIf that satisfies your survey requirements, that’s a possible way to go!
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterWhat’s the exact version of NetSpot you are running?
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterUnfortunately, NetSpot won’t be able to help in this case. Mac OS X will choose which hotspots to connect to within the same network automatically, and there’s no way for us to make it change its decision. As a possible solution, you can temporarily disable bands on your router, run the survey, enable the other bands, run it again as a new snapshot, and then compare the heatmaps.

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterWe are looking into this now. Might be a bug on our side. But let me confirm.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterWe are still looking into this.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterLooking for alternative solutions.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterThanks, @Lex, it’s more than possible. Tested it, seems like updating DNS servers to 8.8.8.8 solves the problem. But it still leaves us wondering how the app can downloaded from netspotapp.com but then all of a sudden it stops resolving. Hm…
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterWe are looking into this issue. We are still unsure what’s causing this, but we are investigating and will keep you updated.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterAnd we ARE considering this improvement now. Thanks again!
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterHm… hold on.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterOK, so we had a detailed look at your screenshot and the question overall, it seems that active scanning is enabled for multiple networks, correct? If so, is it always the same network which is laggy, or the scan doesn’t run for all of them? It might be that the iperf address is not available exactly when your Mac is connected to the slow network.
