Alex – NetSpotKeymasterHi there, you should try the beta build that I sent you via email. Also, make sure you are editing custom servers when NetSpot is not running.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterDid you check the Advanced Export according to my instructions?
Information: Give the project a name (which will be shown on the cover of the report) and provide a project description (which will be shown in the General Info section of the report). Upload your company logo, if desired, by clicking the Browse Logo button. Scroll down to add the Surveyor’s Name, Company Name (of the surveyor), Customer Name, Location, and Date of Report…
Currently Advanced export is only available in PDF format. Generally, any decent PDF editor will let you customize it. We might be able to offer more export formats in the nearest future.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterIn NetSpot Reporter just use the Export (Advanced Export) option. It’s the same with Advanced Export in NetSpot PRO: /help/save-export-print-survey/
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterNetSpot Reporter lets you customize the reports.

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterGive me some time to speak with my team.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterYes, you can upgrade from the App Store version to the main one from the website. I’ll email you the instructions. And in fact we are preparing a more detailed article that would explain the differences between NetSpot PRO and NetSpot Reporter. The App Store version is kind of stripped down in features due to maaaaaany limitations implied by Apple. NetSpot PRO on our website is updated more frequently and is definitely a more complete solution.
And it won’t be correct to compare NetSpot Reporter and NetSpot Scanner (both on the App Store), as they actually compliment each other and both need to be installed on your Mac for successful surveys from out-of-the-box on the Mac App Store.

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterDoes the same happen with NetSpot 2.2.460? It was released a few days ago: https://www.netspotapp.com/downloads.html
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterThe new build fixes a number of issues in the previous build related to this post. So getting the update is highly recommended: /help/netspot-2-2/#ns-2-2-460
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterChannel widths are coming to NetSpot: /help/netspot-2-2/#ns-2-2-460

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterThe new build which adds channel widths and additional channels into Discover Mode was uploaded today: /help/netspot-2-2/#ns-2-2-460
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterIt is. Unfortunately they might not be interested in fixing anything in the previous releases of OS X due to… you know what. OS X Mavericks is free, that means Apple wants everyone on their new OS. Which is kind of OK, of course, if they were not stripping a ton of internal features off.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterNo, but this has already been fixed and will be available in the next update. I emailed you the current beta version.
Alex – NetSpotKeymasterWhen you enable Active Scanning when creating a new survey, there’s the option namely “Enable active scanning of the connected network” – isn’t that what you are looking for?
We are still working on supporting external WiFi adapters within NetSpot.

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterHi again, I just emailed you the test build that should address the issue you were facing. It seems that the Mac that you did the survey from was offline at the time of the survey, and that’s the kind of a bug we fixed in relation to the issue you were having.
