Yes, you can upgrade from the App Store version to the main one from the website. I’ll email you the instructions. And in fact we are preparing a more detailed article that would explain the differences between NetSpot PRO and NetSpot Reporter. The App Store version is kind of stripped down in features due to maaaaaany limitations implied by Apple. NetSpot PRO on our website is updated more frequently and is definitely a more complete solution.

And it won’t be correct to compare NetSpot Reporter and NetSpot Scanner (both on the App Store), as they actually compliment each other and both need to be installed on your Mac for successful surveys from out-of-the-box on the Mac App Store.

Hi, I’m wondering how the MAS version of NetSpot Wi-fi Reporter (when coupled with the MAS version of NetSpot Scanner of course) differs from NetSpot Pro available directly from Etwok?

(I suppose specifically I am wondering what the MAS version of Reporter cannot do -due to Apple’s limitations- compared to what NetSpot Pro can do.)
