I was trying to do an active site survey but kept getting a pop up stating the iperf test upload failed, unable to connect to server: connection refused. However, when looking at the actual iperf connection you can see netspot connects does the transfer, iperf shows the upload test completed but then netspot errors out with the pop up. I also had a continuous ping to the workstation running iperf and it never dropped. If i retry 3-4 times eventually it may log a successful scan. I am running iperf3 on a Windows 7 computer with the firewall disabled and not antivirus. My netspot version is the latest as I just installed it less than 1 month ago.

I sent an email to netspot via the contact page but I have not received a response yet. Any ideas?

OK, so we had a detailed look at your screenshot and the question overall, it seems that active scanning is enabled for multiple networks, correct? If so, is it always the same network which is laggy, or the scan doesn’t run for all of them? It might be that the iperf address is not available exactly when your Mac is connected to the slow network.

    Hi Alex,
Actually the option that I am selecting when I am creating the project or adding the zone for active scanning is: Enable active scanning of the connected network.

When I tested this I was connected to an AP 1 foot away and the AP was connected by a 10 foot patch cable to a small netgear switch and the computer running iperf3 was connect to the same switch with a 1 foot patch cord. I mean, we are looking at no more than 2 feet away from all the equipment.
