Introduction

Etwok, LLC strives to deliver the most current problem-solving forward-thinking products to any level of consumer, be it a home user or a professional.

NetSpot WiFi analyzer was created to help you plan, visualize, deploy, troubleshoot, and manage a wireless network that would function at its top level providing users with a smooth, strong and secure signal. NetSpot is a complete WiFi site survey package for people working with wireless technologies.

To bring more awareness about products like NetSpot and make it accessible to a wider audience we've established a college scholarship with the same name.

We are looking for college students studying, working on and generally (and genuinely) interested in wireless technologies.

We are looking forward to receiving entries from candidates with their distinctive points of view and can't wait to see what the tech future holds for us all.

Why we are doing this

Youth is our future, as are ever evolving electronic technologies, including wireless ones. We believe in the importance of supporting the future through education and think every little bit helps in building stronger relationships with technologies and understanding how to use them in a way that will be beneficial for a strong, safe, healthy society.

Eligibility Requirements

Please note that we can only consider your application if you meet the requirements at the time of submission.

Applicants must be:

  • A full-time student enrolled in either a college or a university at the time of application.
  • Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or a graduate student attending a college or university in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
  • Applicant must be at least 18 years old.
  • Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0. A copy of your transcript is required.
  • Applicant must be able to provide proof of enrollment.
  • Only .edu emails will be considered.

Applicants may not be:

  • Children or grandchildren of employees, officers, or owners of Etwok, LLC.
  • High school graduates of year 2019.
  • Applicant acknowledges that submission of more than one application per campaign by the same individual will result in disqualification.

Guidelines

To apply for the $2000 NetSpot scholarship award, follow these steps:

Step 1

Create a video using the next abstract as your guideline.
Do you think wireless technologies are directly linked to our future? How can they help increase your impact on the society of today and the society of the future?

Step 2

Upload your video to any cloud service (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) and send the link to scholarship@netspotapp.com with the “Scholarship Submission“ subject by the deadline.

Please include the following details in your email:

  • Your personal details (full name, phone number, social links and email address);

  • Name of your College/University;

  • Your college photo ID or any other proof that you are currently a student complying with this scholarship requirements.

Note:

  1. Only .edu emails will be considered.

  2. By submitting your application for this scholarship you are giving the NetSpot brand permission to use your name and video for marketing and promotional purposes.

  3. Only one entry is permitted per student.

  4. There are no other methods for submitting the application. Incomplete submissions will be automatically disqualified.

  5. Please note there is no cost or charge to apply for this scholarship.

Submission Deadline

Videos must be submitted online by August 31, 2019, no later than 11:59 p.m., PST.

Winner Selection

The winning applicant will be determined based on the video content, style, accuracy, and originality. Judges are looking for logically organized and well-supported videos.

A winner will be selected by the scholarship committee in October 2019. Once contacted via email, the winner will have two weeks to respond and claim the scholarship, which will then be awarded to them or their school’s financial aid department, depending on the school's requirements.

Terms and conditions:

  • The NetSpot Scholarship award will be paid directly to the student with an .edu email or other school dedicated email (will need to provide proof if school does not have a dedicated domain) OR directly to the school if so required by the educational institution.

  • Entries containing plagiarized material or off-topic content will result in disqualification.

  • Once submitted, your entry will become the property of Etwok, LLC and can be used by the latter for promotional purpose.

  • After the winner is determined, enrollment and GPA qualifications must be confirmed by the winners’ educational institution.

  • If the winner does not meet the stated requirements, the award will then be given to the eligible runner-up.

  • Winners will be solely responsible to any federal, state, or local taxes.

  • The prize is listed and paid in USD.

  • The decision of Etwok, LLC in respect of any dispute arising out of this program shall be final.

  • A check will be mailed 30 days after the winner is announced.
