Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) in NetSpot: What You Need to Know

The IEEE 802.11be standard, aka Wi-Fi 7, is the next-generation wireless technology, following and adding on to the foundation of 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6/6E). 802.11be is designed to maximize the speed, to support HD video streaming, AR and VR, etc. This standard offers a wider channel bandwidth, support for multiple links, as well as advanced modulation schemes (4096-QAM).

Beginning with version 5, NetSpot for Windows fully supports Wi-Fi 7 in Inspector Mode, Planning Mode, and Survey Mode. NetSpot for macOS currently doesn’t support APs with Wi-Fi 7 in Survey Mode, however, it will display them in project files imported from a Windows computer. Planning Mode on macOS fully supports the 802.11be standard.
