Alex – NetSpotKeymasterGuys, NetSpot 2.0 is here. We are SUPER-EXCITED to announce the new release. Users of version 1.3 will see many improvements and we have added a bunch of cool new features. The standard version of NetSpot remains completely free, as always. However, we are pleased to announce that we now have two upgrade options: PRO and Enterprise. Read on to the official announcement…

rscreenParticipantupdated to version 2.0 from 1.3 on a MacBook Air, the application now crashes / closes during a survey when doing a scan. It also crashes upon opening up 1.3 projects.
Any common causes?

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterQuite weird. We tested the update phase very thoroughly. Please send the project that cannot be opened with the reference to this post to onair@netspotapp.com

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterConcerning these crashes: try updating to NetSpot 2.0.255, they should be fixed in that release.

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterNo way… Sorry. NetSpot 1.3 never knew about version 2.0’s format.

MINISTERParticipantHey.
Just reporting that I tried to download the free software from your website a couple of times, and after download, every time I tried to open the dmg file, it said, “device not recognized”.
I am on Macbook Pro, 10.7.5.

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterAs you can see, it’s only you. Try again. Use a download manager if you want to have a better control over the download process. Try this direct link: http://www.netspotapp.com/download/NetSpot.dmg

bjs81ParticipantThe copy I just downloaded from http://download.cnet.com worked.

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterWhy not use the download manager? I can assure everyone, the builds on CNET and our website are 1) identical, 2) working 100%
