Alex – NetSpotKeymasterWe just released the updated build: NetSpot 2.4.582 – /help/netspot-2-4 – it doesn’t solve ALL the issues in relation to OS X 10.10 appearance, but the number of enhancements is tremendous.

willonealParticipantLots of trouble with 2.4.
I did a passive scan with no problem.
When I try to do an active scan of the selected networks, I cannot select the networks to scan. The screen is literally blank.
I have rebooted and trashed the netspot folder in ~/Library/Application Support.
Where do I find/download an older version until these issues can be figured out?

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterI suspect it may be related to the recent issues with our activation server. Can you try to reboot and check NetSpot again? If you still experience the same trouble, please, send feedback from within the app, and then a screenshot of the “blank screen” to onair@netspotapp.com.

willonealParticipantI rebooted yesterday before reporting the problem, and again moments ago and the problems persist.
Problem 1: the open a map dialog shows nothing. nothing at all.

Problem 2: select other networks to scan shows nothing

Problem 3: select active networks shows nothing. Sometimes, the list of networks shows up, but every item in the the list is grayed out, and scrolling in the window is broken.

DougParticipantSweet mother of God, please make the old version available. I just flew across the country and have 24 hours to record the changes I made to a big location. I made the crucial mistake of upgrading when I saw a new version was available and spent the last few hours covering this location with Netspot and dropping readings everywhere.
The visualization worked once and when I did a de-select all and tried to organize it by SSID, it froze up completely. I had saved the file as I went and I tried to re-load the file back into netspot (after rebooting my macbook air with Yosemite, all patches) and when I load the file on the left is says “no networks detected yet) although there were 100+ before and on the right is just says “rebuilding visualization” and freezes.
I’ve spent hours out here taking all these samples. Please, oh please tell me there is a fix for this. I deleted it off my computer and re-installed it fresh but the same thing happens when I load up the saved survey file.
Super, super frustrated. If it was any motivation, I have the site-license purchase order request sitting on my desk that was a sure-thing slam dunk before I left and now I absolutely wouldn’t risk someone using the product. I had previously evangelized the product to everyone i know.
It’s always been bulletproof, now I have about 15 more hours to complete this project before I’m on a plane. Help.

https://www.netspotapp.com/buildz/tmp/NetSpot-460.dmgI really suspect the problem is not related to the latest build. But for some reason, it would be extremely nice to know that the bug is there, so we can fix it and you can complete the project. Keep us informed.
And, we never experienced anything like that, and I wish we had. Please be assured we’ll do our best to fix the issue. It would help if you could send a feedback report from within the app, use the “Ask a question” toolbar option, this will send some debug info to us.

AgentEdParticipantThe problem IS related to the new build. I also have never had issues until the new build. I to am working on a large survey and now I’ve lost 2 days of work. Older version won’t open the file and the current version never completes the visualization.
How can I start the project without the visualization? I to am out of tone on this survey and have nothing to show because NetSpot killed by survey.

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterIs partial file just a chunk of a binary file, or you mean it’s an incomplete survey? As long as it is a NetSpot project file, and it doesn’t load into NetSpot, please, send it in.
