As the title says, does your system account for signal overlap between floors? I know it does detect the signal and tries to map it. But is there anything else that it should be accounting for that matters?

That matters. However as we already denoted in this post, NetSpot doesn’t take zones’ vertical positions into consideration yet and will actually duplicate found APs on both floors when surveying multi-floor buildings. We are working on that.

    Great!
I am currently de-selecting all AP
s not on the same floor that I am working on. I know it is far from ideal but it gives me a better idea of minimum coverage per floor. I then re-enable them to verify overlap and possible conflicts.

Nice workaround. We’ll definitely consider something usable here.

This workaround also could be implemented easier by the user if we could label the AP’s by hostname.

(referring to my other feature request.)

    Thanks again.
