    Does netspot support using a usb wifi adaptor? I am curious because the apple wifi card is quite a bit stronger and the readings are significantly (10-15db) higher then when I use airmagnet on my windows pc with a dlink usb card. If there is no support, do you have any idea what the difference would be between a macbook running netspot and a windows handheld device (wireless scanner)? I have been unable to test the difference but curious what yall have run into…. I am just looking for anyone who has compared results and is willing to share their findings.

    Netspot is great for my contract techs who do not have airmagnet.

    Never compared them, and I am sure that comparing ANY wireless devices would produce completely different results. If you are sure that MacBook’s adapter is stronger, then you can assume the connection speed and coverage quality for other devices based on the map you get in NetSpot. In fact, we are planning to add external WiFi adapters’ support in future releases, but that will require an AirPort compatible device in fact.
