    Hello!

I have been using NetSpot for a while. Doing measurements is very fast, because one measurement takes only few seconds. Problem is, that the measurements aren’t very accurate. Is the problem in NetSpot, or does the signal strength vary? Anyway, it would be great that I could change length of measurement. I mean that duration of measurement should be adjustable. For example, when I’m carrying my MacBook around a room, the duration can be set to 5 seconds, but when the MacBook is on a table, the duration is 30 seconds.

By the way, thank you for the NetSpot. It is amazing, that NetSpot is free software! Its value is around $1000.

    Hi there!

    What made you think so?

When NetSpot places one sampling point on the map it actually runs 3 polls and approximates the received data. It’s not the matter of the time required to complete the poll.

    Hello.

The problem was my WLAN AP. Signal strength ranged from 15dB to 35dB, without changing position of my laptop. Today I got a new AP, and its signal is really stronger and more stable.
