    Hi,

At some occasions it would have been really great to be able to replace the underlying map in a survey floor.

Two scenarios have happened to me:

1: Survey is done with an old version of a map, and I later get a new/better map, that has correct details. Or I decide to create an outline version myself(!)
This would need a feature for re-importing a map, and scaling it to match the old one in a ‘ghost-like’ transparent version.

2: The used map is PDF/vector and NetSpot simply have a hard time working with it, so replacing it with a JPG would help a lot.(This could be simply, internally in the app!)

There are even more scenarios when map editing might be useful after the survey is completed. But that’s coming later on. Also, make sure whenever new objects or appliances are physically added to the surveyed area, it needs to be re-taken to keep the results up-to-date.

I see this was posted almost a year ago. Is there any update on this? I just finished making a floor plan for the house (using a piece of iOS witchcraft called RoomScan) and cleaning it up in OmniGraffle. I stared my scan when I realized that i goofed on the map in a couple places. Fixed it. But then realized that the map I used for my survey is not accessible once it’s created. I understand why it’s not a great idea (it has to be the same size and dimensions, etc), but there are some cases while it can be a useful function. Any progress on this?

It is very useful, no doubts. But this is not a priority now, unfortunately. We’ll keep everyone posted.
