I performed a site survey for a customer that was utilizing a repeater to strengthen the signal broadcast to West half of the building (furthest from his wireless router). The survey results indicated that the WiFi coverage should have disappeared in the corner of the building along the West wall, but I was able to run a speed test that indicated the signal and download speed was still strong in that area.
The customer then pointed me towards this repeater. The WiFi scan did not show any sign of signal strength being improved around this repeater, but I’m sure they would have had multiple complaints if it weren’t operating effectively. Any suggestions on how to pick up this repeater in the scan? I can send the map of the scanned site in question if needed.
