There’s no way to open project in older version?

So, a 2.4.582 is INCOMPATIBLE with version 2.4.260?

    Really?!

    You guys are killing me.

If NetSpot is going to make backwards incompatible changes, perhaps it should automatically keep a backup of the original in the same directory?

We never had any need to downgrade someone’s copy of NetSpot. There’s an internal check that prevents newer projects from being open in the older versions. We are still blaming the latest updates of OS X 10.10.x for the issues with memory usage and internal video procedures used by NetSpot for heatmap rendering, but we cannot confirm or disprove these assumptions until we see the project file.

This beta version should fix the bugs related to project opening: https://www.netspotapp.com/buildz/2.4.x/2.4.584/NetSpot.dmg

As we mentioned before, they are related to the way OS X treats APs with empty SSIDs in the newer versions of their framework.
