ryanssmoothParticipantZooming in and out of existing surveys (or new surveys) is very choppy. I created many (about 15) surveys using NetSpot 2.3 on a MacBookPro running 10.9.4 and 10.9.5. Everything worked perfectly, zoom worked correctly. Now that I’ve upgraded to 10.10 and NetSpot 2.4 all my existing saved surveys are almost impossible to zoom in/out of due to stutter and lag.
I’ve been in contact with support and they gave me a beta version to try out, but that didn’t make any difference. I’m currently running 2.4.572 with same stuttering zoom. I was just wondering if any other users were having similar problems.
Thanks!

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterWe have reproduced the issue on 10.10. Working on it now…

jolaineParticipantAny progress on this? I have this problem also on my macbook air that we upgraded to os x 10.10 with newest release of netspot. Is there a beta we can use/test NOW? The app is unusable.

ryanssmoothParticipantI’ve been working with support and they’ve provided a few newer versions to test – but none of them have fixed the issue yet. I will be trying to install on a clean installation of OSX 10.10.1 this week and will update if that makes any difference.
For what it’s worth the support folks have been very helpful and communicative with offering updates to test out.

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterThe latest beta is here: https://netspotapp.com/buildz/2.4.x/2.4.581/NetSpot.dmg
In our test lab we were able to get the issue fixed by just upgrading OS X to 10.10.1. Most probably Apple has fixed the issue that appeared in 10.10. However, it would help if you could confirm the fix as well.December 4, 2014 at 10:41 pm #2861
ryanssmoothParticipantThe latest beta (2.4.581) you provided also did not fix the problem for me. I have made sure my Mac is completely updated (10.10.1). I’ve also tried it on another MacBookPro in our office (I work for an IT department at a school district) that was just fully wiped with a new, clean install of OSX 10.10.1 with the same results.
I made sure and removed the old installation of NetSpot 2.4.580 before upgrading to 2.4.581 just in case the problem was in overwriting the existing install, but again, no difference.
