shardingParticipantIs there some supported way to change the “project name” shown in the app, or to create a new project as a duplicate of an existing project? I want to do several surveys with different access point locations. This obviously needs the same maps and configuration. I don’t want to have to load the maps and set the scale repeatedly. But if I just duplicate the file and rename it (or save as), the name shown in the title stays the same.
Really minor, but kind of annoying (it makes it confusing to keep track of what I’m looking at).

Alex – NetSpotKeymasterSure, have a look here: http://forum.netspotapp.com/discussion/21
You will be able to run multiple surveys of the same zones in NetSpot 2, btw. We call it zone’s snapshots.

shardingParticipantThanks Alex. Funny enough, I actually did try editing the file manually in Xcode (after noticing it’s a binary plist) before posting, but after I did that Netspot didn’t want to open it anymore (yes, I did change the extension back). I forget the exact error message it gave, but basically it said it wasn’t a valid project file. Maybe I accidentally changed another field too, but I don’t think so.
Anyway, not a big deal, I can survive without it.
Thanks for the awesome app, by the way. Amazing to have something like this for free.

shardingParticipantHmm, I just tried editing one again and it worked fine, so I don’t know what I did wrong before. Never mind me ;-)

Marisa_NetSpotParticipantHello,
I’ve send you the link to download beta version of NetSpot 2.x. It allows you to rename survey projects according to your requirements.
